The Wood Family

If I can brag just a teeny bit, I go to a church with more than its fair share of extra cute children.  As you can see, these three are certainly doing their part to keep up the congregation's standards in the looks department.  Better yet, their parents are the kind of people I just like to be around, and it's no trouble to tell that they take this raising children thing seriously.  It shows.

Long story short, these are kids who are as fun and easy to be around as they are cute, and that is saying something.

Thanks to the three of you for a fun trip around your house scouting "good spots" for pictures -- silly, serious, and somewhere in-between -- and to your mom and dad for letting me capture a little bit of your growing up.

Migraine -- ugh

I lost most of last weekend to a nasty migraine, so I'm a little behind but catching up slowly.  I'm trying to lay off my Rx -- Axert -- so it was Vicks, a hot towel, and whining for me from Friday afternoon until Saturday night.  It is good to have a sister-in-law who sends food and my personal favorite drink, Sprite Zero, and a wonderful husband who goes to the store specifically for saltines, I must say.

Pictures soon!

Is it basketball season yet?

My husband, who is nearly perfect in every way, is a football fanatic.  I cannot WAIT for Duke basketball in HD on our new TV, partly because I love it and partly because the games only last a glorious 2 hours.

New Logo

I'm so excited -- I have hired Lisa Reichmann to design a new logo for the studio.  It's been time to make that leap for a while, but finding a designer whose work I love has been more difficult than I would have thought.  And then I found her website -- www.lisareichmanndesign.com -- and suddenly all was right in the universe.

She's taking a maternity leave now, but in early 2009 there will be a new logo in town, and I can't wait.

Holiday Cards

Just a quick note about holiday cards.  This year, I've begun offering traditional folded cards that I just love, love, love.  They are fully customized for your family, so I will choose a color scheme that spreads Christmas cheer AND works with your outfits.

My favorite feature is the fact that they are ready for you to jot a quick note OR to pop in envelopes and send off.  Great on the off chance that the holidays are busy at your house.

Can't show any just yet -- don't want to ruin the surprise, but suffice it to say that the card designs are totally cute and sure to make an impression.  Any 2008 session's photographs can be turned into cards for the holidays, but the order deadline of December 1 is firm.  (That means that the design is finalized prior to 12/1 -- allow a week from contacting me to receiving your final design.)
